History of the Band
The True North Troubadours was conceived out of another project: Byrd Dawg, Joel and Wayne's tribute to the Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel. One night while rehearsing, Joel suggested Diane join in and sing Leaving on a Jet plane. It was harmonious magic! Immediately they reached out to a local bass player, Steve Labish; they had immediate chemistry as a group, and the True North Troubadours came to be.
Performing a versatile set of classics, TNT have brought to life Folk music from the 60's ~ songs performed by notable folk music acts including Peter, Paul and Mary, Ian and Sylvia Tyson, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, the Byrds and many others.
True North Troubadours have been performing throughout BC since 2015, bringing their authentic style to the stage, delighting their audiences wherever they perform! Their shows feature rich vocal harmonies (Diane, Wayne & Joel) with acoustic guitar interplay (Joel & Wayne) and the upright bass (Steve) locking their groove down.
